This is a rare and extremely large 19th c. English sterling silver frame with all-over filigree work depicting Neoclassical motifs. Mounted on a velvet stand, the frame is cut out in a stylized heart shape with a central reserve of a heart shaped monogram. Beautiful scrollwork is intermingled with angels and puttis amongst an all-over floral motif. The large size is quite unusual and the workmanship and detail is fabulous.
