This is an unusual set of 12 dessert compotes/ sherbets with porcelain bowls and sterling silver stems and bases. The ornately decorated foot was custom-order and monogrammed for that client. The porcelain is beautifully hand painted with flowers and garlands of leaves and the rim is further embellished with acid etched gold. These would also be useful for caviar which would not react with the porcelain.
