This is a lovely 19th century set of 12 extravagantly decorated dessert plates and matching footed compote with molded leaf handles trimmed in gold.
With a bold graphic design, these incorporate a deep blue, caramel, white and gold palette with a central gold medallion. The tall and large compote is perfect for serving fruit and could also be used as a centerpiece, filled with flowers or seasonal decorations. Ca.1860
