An exceptional terra cotta bust produced at Aluminia, a Danish factory established in Copenhagen in 1863, later becoming Royal Copenhagen, by Johannes Hedegaard (1915-1999). This female bust features elements of Hedegaard's famous forms and color combinations with a serene face and expression and a multicolor scarf tied behind her neck. Fully marked on the inside underside and signed by Hedegaard. An important piece of mid-century art. Ca. 1960
