19th C. Worcester Porcelain Figural Elephant Vase

This is a charming 19th c. English figural vase of an Indian elephant wearing a ceremonial howdah and head dress. Modeled by Royal Worcester's chief modeler, James Hadley, it is hand painted in polychrome enamels and highlighted in gold. Marked with the Royal Worcester crest and diamond registry, it dates to 1865. A perfect piece as a mantle vase or part of an eclectic centerpiece.

9.5" length x 4" width x 7.5" height, Excellent condition,  made in England.
