This beautifully matched pair of Zsolnay chargers are superb examples of decorated and pierced design. They have a distinctive shaped rim and 3 reserves of a floral motif. The light or dark background color provides a dramatic contrast to the overall pierced effect, evoking an intricate lacy Art Nouveau element. Persian style with a pierced, lacy ground, scalloped lip and having trefoil reserves decorated with mums and flowers on a cream ground. Impressed mark on underside: "Made in Austria-Hungary" and having the Zsolnay mark and #3773. Ca. 1900
