This whimsical set of 6 service or dinner plates is each uniquely painted with hot air balloons in flight. Shaped rims highlighted in gold, feature a gold banner describing each balloon, hand written in French in lovely script. The borders are encircled in a gold wreath and the full central picture fills the plate with the decorative motif, wonderful for display or use as a thematic service plate. c. 1940's, 10 1/2" in diameter
