This is an exceptional set of 12 hand painted cabinet plates with variations of exotic fruit and botanical themed paintings in my all-time favorite Aesthetic Movement theme. What sets these apart is the amazing variation of design and color. The enamel painting in the neutral palette of silver, rose gold, bittersweet orange, olive green and raised paste gold which have a soft and soothing effect. The borders are pierced and highlighted with more raised gold. These would create a show-stopping display and can be used as dessert plates as well. What a dramatic setting these would create. 

1 plate is damaged along the border and repaired - please images 6-7 for the detail. All the other 11 are in excellent condtion commensurate with age. Made in England ca. 1880's.
