This set of 8 19th C. Spode dessert plates are true works of art, each expertly hand painted. The borders are a lovely combination of French blue And creamy/ivory and the Trompe L'oeil pierced edge creates a frame for the handpainted floral centers. Each plate has a botanical specimen encircling the inner border leaving a clear center. Fabulous for display and perfect for a dessert or first course. Excellent condition, wear consistent with age and use.  Made in England, Dated 1900
