This set of 6 bunny plates are signed Choisy Le Roi, the famed Aesthetic Movement Majolica porcelain company in France. These were commonly sold by the New York retail firm of Higgins and Seiter but this set precedes that retailer's connection. Ca. 1900- 1910, each plate depicts an adorable scene of rabbits eating, playing and cavorting in the gardens and countryside. Some of them also have bright polychrome enamel decoration highlighting radishes, lettuce and cabbage! All in excellent condition commensurate with age, minor crazing, no structural defects.These would make a charming display and also perfect for serving dessert/cheese course etc.
