This is a magnificent 19th century set of dessert plates and matching serving plate made by Baccarat. The hand blown crystal is cased in a rich and vibrant cranberry overlay and cut to clear in a leaf and grape pattern. The intaglio cutting is beautifully polished to create a contrasting pattern on solid, heavy blanks. Each plate has raised borders to accommodate a fruit themed dessert, keeping the liquid on the plate. The exceptional workmanship on the 12" D matching serving piece is an added bonus and the 12 dessert plates measure 8.50" D.
