I do not know the maker of this impressive hand blown work of art but I attribute it to a 19th C example of Bohemian artistry. The color, detail and workmanship clearly speaks for itself. The deep amethyst glass is highlighted by the optic swirl of the bowl, the connector is solid which creates a deeper purple embellished with applied prunts. The foot has a wide diameter creating a nice center of gravity and the pontil polished. All together this is a wonderful piece that can be used as a vase, a chalice or a centerpiece. Excellent conditon commensurate with age.
