The history is fascinating and it evolved in so many directions over the years.
H. P. Sinclaire, Jr. opened his cutting shop in Corning, NY in 1904 and business was well-positioned to become a successful enterprise, not least because American cut glass had reached the apex of its popularity at about this time. Next came H. P.'s artistic ability, evident from an early age. when he was encouraged at the Hawkes company where he designed the engraved glass that the company displayed at the Paris Exposition in 1889. His blown crystal was also at the level of excellence at Steuben and the talent and beauty are displayed by the workmanship of these candlesticks. Who doesn't love turquoise-such a beatiful, elegant and classic color-perfect with gold and white, pink, apple green and ivory!
