A rare pair of French hand blown  vibrant cobalt blue footed vases attributed to the workshop of  Giles. The eight-sided trumpets sit atop a round base that is completely polished with hand painted gilt enamels. A wonderful matched pair for a mantle, table decoration or cabinet pieces. Amazingly they are made by the same factory as the pair of cruets with almost matching gold work, also listed, item #2571.  Ca. 1850
