This wonderful 19th century complete game service made by Worcester, features 12 hand-painted plates depicting game birds with Aesthetic Movement brown transfer borders and shaped rims. The large oval platter is embellished with figural raised birds extending along the borders. Also included, is a matching sauce tureen and under plate. Painted in a naturalistic polychrome palette and gilded borders, this set has a casual sensibility that lends itself to any season and can be beautifully displayed or used in a table setting.
