This fabulous set of 12 hand painted cabinet/service plates were made exclusively for Caldwell, Philadelphia and painted by one of Royal Worcester's most renown listed artists, G. H. Evans. George H Evans painted in a Corot-impressionistic style which was very distinctive and highly sought after. The borders are rich cobalt blue with raised gold overlay and each center is completely painted with scenes of famous English Abbeys. The subjects are all named on the reverse. Perfect for display or use as service plates, this is a rare and complete set of 12.
