This extensive and complete dessert service has 12 dessert plates (8" diameter) a lovely oval footed compote ( 6" tall), 2 oval serving bowls and 2 shell-shaped serving bowls. Each piece is uniquely painted with a central botanical bouquet with a subtle dark green overlay imitating a still-life canvas. The borders are decorated with 4 floral reserves, raised and molded grape clusters and hand painted feathers contrasting the cobalt blue ground. The borders are all highlighted in gold. c. 1890's
