Set of 12 Aynsley 19th C Aesthetic Movement Hand Painted Dessert Plates w/ Cobalt Blue Borders
This very unusual set of 12 Aynsley dessert plates are perfect for display as well as a unique table setting. Each plate is handpainted and distinctively different combining flowers and scenes. What makes these special is how the subject is a Trompe L'oeil scenic subject with a distance perspective. Each plate is framed with a scallop border highlighted in gold.
Made in England, ca.1888. Excellent conditon commensurate with age.
