Set of 12 Minton 19th Century Hand-Painted Polychrome Floral Dessert Plates
This is another one of my favorite sets of hand painted dessert plates with a fanciful Aesthetic Movement motif. Made by Minton ca. 1920's, retailed exclusively by Caldwell, Phliadelphia, each plate is unique and features a central bouquet of flowers surrounded by various sprigs of featured botanicals on a bright white ground. The bright polychrome palette works beautifully with many different colorways and also presents a dramatic display, first course and dessert setting. Trimmed in gold, these are colorful and full of personality! Made in England, ca. 1920's, excellent condition.
