Designed by the iconic Robert Allen, head of the decorating department at Doulton, this is a rare pattern and a full set of 12 dinner plates. What sets them apart is that 4 of the plates have the flamingos facing each other which is even more special. The black enamel border frames the bright, vibrant hand painted polychrome enamels of the flamingos and the decorative accents. The condition is excellent especially as these date from the 1920's. 

The pattern number is signed "RA" for Robert Allen who designed this fun and colorful pattern. With amazing visual effect, they are sure to please everyone at the table!
