The teal blue variation of turquoise provides a vibrant background to this lovely vase which does double duty as a handsome display piece and a perfect vessel for flowers.The undulating scalloped rim is highlighted with a shell motif and trimmed in gold. The front and reverse each features a hand painted botanical reserve with lovely contrasting naturalistic colors. Marked on the base, "French Turquoise" this was retailed exclusively by C. A. Selzer, Cleveland, ca.1900, this vase is in excellent condition!4
