This is a very decorative Majolica large scale vase with Aesthetic Movement tube-lined decoration. Each flower is outlined with impasto borders and hand painted with colorful enamels. The decoration completely encircles the vase and it is glazed inside and out. The base is also glazed with the same blue as the bottom rim. The colorful flowers are accentuated by the contrast of the rich chocolate brown ground glaze with mottling at the top rim. Ca. 1890-1910
